October is
the Tenkobushi Budokan's Diabetes Awareness Month.
As the Chief Instructor and a parent of a child with
Type I diabetes, I know first hand the role proper diet
and plenty of exercise play in maintaining desirable
blood glucose levels.
As we move closer to the Holiday Season, being disciplined
can make all the difference in overall health, physical
condition, mental attitude and general quality of life.
During the month of October, Tenkobushi Budokan in association
with The Valley News is providing free lessons for Children
and Adults with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. Participants will
learn about the art of Ninjutsu or Tai Chi, its’ effective
self-defense techniques and at the same time be able to have
fun exercising.
